Overview of the role

Responsible for online content for the brand across the Food & Fashion Platforms. A self-starting team player who is confident and able to work without close supervision. The role holder is responsible to plan, execute and manage on site content working across functions to ensure onsite excellence. Develop a strong relationship with the UK, manage the integration of technical systems and drive standards.

What you will do

Key Accountabilities

  • Create compelling content across M&S platforms
  • Ensure the principle data source and feed for product content and descriptions are accurate and can be leveraged for local content
  • Write content that speaks to various personas and market segments; creating a user-friendly experience for the reader
  • Write marketing text for individual products within agreed Service Level Agreements service levels for all brands for the MENA market. Ensure that copy meets quality, principle and SEO guidelines
  • Update or create landing pages on the site adding the proper links, images, or videos.
  • When required, produce more general (site-wide) customer information such as FAQs, Product Descriptions, About Us, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Help Pages, Projects Articles, News Letters, etc…).
  • Coordinate and manage content schedule/plan and assets. Execute the content schedule/plan utilizing the content management system (CMS) to upload both copy and content assets.
  • Receive information from category and merchandising teams on stock and priorities. Keep informed on products and stock levels of new products ensuring that products are available to go live as soon as stock is available.
  • Work closely with the SEO Specialist to produce quality content that will not only appear in search engines, but drive traffic to the site, and convert into sales
  • Build a strong relationship with the UK, managing the integration of technical systems to ensure full content and copy is online

Project Management

  • Plan, execute and manage on site content, ensure projects and newness are delivered on time, within budget, in adherence with the brand quality standards and meet customer expectations

Skills

Required Skills to be successful

  • Minimum of 1years of experience as content writer preferably within an eCommerce organization.
  • Excellent English skills (speaking, writing and reading).
  • Arabic language would be an advantage
  • Strong copywriting skills gained in a web environment, high standard of written English.
  • Sensitivity to Home improvement/Home living/household products
  • Strong copywriting skills in a web environment, with a high standard of Arabic and understanding of SEO guidelines.
